    Got a bearing change on a Zanussi-Elecrolux ZWF1421W PNC 91479129202.

Ive just had a look on the TDS disk to see if the service manual had the rundown on stripping the tub out but cant find any info.

Can someone give me a quick rundown please.

Well its a split tub so you can do a bearing change.
Take off back section of casing. Empty filter of all water first. Remove, door bellow from front, take soap drawer & sump hoses off at tub. Remove plastic bolts from top of shocks by releasing locking key. Take pressure vessel off, remove all wiring from motor & heater, stats etc. You can take motor off also at this stage. Put something like a large towel under tub & release suspension springs at top to drop complete tub assy’ down. Split tub by removing the 17 (i think) fixing screws. Drum out to examine shaft, fit bearings & relevant parts, check heater for damage too.
    Reassemble in reverse.

Thanks. Rather like a WMA then? She did say it has a split casing. Not done one of these before. New customer and she wants it done at her house.

Very much like a WMA but the spider is easier. I lay it on its back before releasing the springs and pegs, then lift the front cabinet and gubbins gently away. That makes it less of a struggle to get the springs and pegs off and on because you’re not fighting gravity.
