Participanthey guys , i have this dishwasher and its not heating , element reads 25 ohms , thermostat reading 7.6 ohms , resistor reading 7.7k ohms and there is a switch also on the side of the element housing reading 7.7 ohms i removed the resistor ,its located between the prongs of the element and i put it in a glass of boiling water and the resistance decreased so that seems fine , the switch i operated by hand and it showed resistance when operated and none when at rest so i take it that part is ok too . the stat is located right under the sump 2 or 4 mm clearance so the sump needs to be removed to test this part fully which i dont really want to do any one got any more ideas , i guess the only thing left is the control board , is there an output measurement to test for when it is operating ? thanks

dont know if yours is the same but. recently i went to a servis not heating. the fault was that the temp stat which should have been open closing on temp was in fact closed. the result was that the machine skipped the heat cycle thinking it was already hot. if you remove the stat it will normally say eithe nc normally closed or na normally open. if yours says na then check it for continuity between terminals. if it has then its faulty. hope this helps

i doubt it. if it is a normal stat it should be either open or closed and no resistance when closed.

this is the thermo resistor on meter range of 20k ohms it reads 792 ,
this other one is the stat reading 0.5 0n 200 ohms range this is stamped with nc on the bodyNovember 16, 2010 at 9:10 pm #334679keithwilliams

the reading on the first one sounds too low. i’d expect it to be somewhere around 15 to 20 kohms. hope that helps. i’m surprised nobody else has commented.
