    I have been working on a DWF61 with reported lack of heating issues.

    I know its a Bosch in a dress.

    Having stripped the machine and cleaned matrix,pressure chamber and
    degunked the usual pipes the machine ran successfully on each of its four programs.

    I thought job done…….

    For other reasons I had decided to swap the front panel over and whilst doing this
    I noticed a thermistor (which I assume is trigger for the dispensor seemed to have come away from the rear of the compartment in the door.

    It seemed to be held in place with some sort of white acrylic type paste?

    My question is how best to reattach the thermistor?

    At this time I have used a dab of superglue BUT the machine is now tripping the RCD around the point it probably tries to activate the solenoid.

    Do you think I have caused the short by gluing the thermistor or does it need to be insulated from the metal door?

    I will probably disconnect the Thermistor to see if it the culprit tomorrow.

    The only thermistor in these machines is situated in the heater box assy under the tub.

    What is the resistance of the component you have dislodged. It may be the safety stat, it has nothing to do with the dispenser. What colour are the wires attached to the component?

    The paste is used to give good heat transfer, this stat is normally held in place by a small clamp plate close to the dispenser AFAIK.

    Many thanks for your reply!

    Will investigate further tomorrow,check resistance etc and also recheck the
    heating element.

    From memory the wires were red and black and yes it was at the end of
    a small brass coloured angle bracket.

    Looks like a smaller version on the NTC/Thermistor in the heater assembly.
    Never seen one designed like this before and at the back of my mind
    seem to remember a reply in another thread by Penguin45 but couldnt recall the exact function.

    I set the machine to run a full cycle and it tripped soon after the prerinse
    Maybe its a coincidence my fiddling with this and I have a bigger problem elsewhere.
