ParticipantI bet this has been asked before but I’m looking for an integrated dishwasher for under£500. I was mulling over the miele 1173 but at over £700 its a bit pricey for me at the moment as I’ve just blown the family silver on an ise10 washer. I was thinking of a bosch sgv53e33 but any other suggestions?

Hi Mutley1
Either a Bosch or Neff (same family) are as good as you will get for under £500.

i agree they are the ONLY ones that i recommend as an integrated machine bearing in mind that you can spend nearly as much and get a real heap.

Not forgetting Siemens from the same group -some of these have

if you were fitting it yourself, id be looking at getting a bosch/neff with the full s/s interiors.
the 53e33 is a base spec “tactical” model, which is fine say if your a kitchen fitter and wanna put it in a high-quality kitchen refurb whilst adding to your margins, its jsut theyve taken all the useful features out of the standard range in order to get the price down as low as possible.
if your budget allows you would be far better off going for a mid-range model that creeps in at about 55o as just a box (i.e unfitted) as the feedback we have had from people who have moved over from a full s/s interior bosch to a polynox base bosch is that they dont seem to dry quite as well. havent quite worked out why yet tho…

what does ss mean exactly?
which model at around 55o would you recommend?
Bosch SMV50E00GB?
or
Bosch SMV63M00GB?
do either of these have the improved interior you mentionedNovember 9, 2010 at 1:58 pm #335082Higher-water-level

wouldnt say its in the same league tho, good if your on a budget but wouldnt say they were an investment purchase…
smv50e00 vs smv63m00
both have full s/s interiors
the ’63 also has:
=auto-temp dailywash program
=intensive zone
diverts majority water pressure to the lower basket for baked on stains, and reduces streght of wash to top basket for super-delicate glasses etc=variospeed
can shorten each program by up to half its time whilst washing on the hotter temp progs. only suitable for lightly soiled items tho.= hydrosenser function
most main programs except fashwash incormporate a prerinse cycle before the main wash, so if you rinse plates before they go in (like you should) it will sense the prerinse water is clean enough to use for the main wash, and instead of draining it, will reuse it.=heatexchanger
residually warms cold water for next cycle of program, so a sudden burst of cold water doesnt cause delicate glass/china to crack from temperature shock.= 4dB quiter
44dB instead of the ’50s 48dB, which means its about 133{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} quieter than the other model. put basically, approx every 3dB increase = double the loudness.hope that helps!!!
