Hello
We have a Siemens model number se24030gb/17.
I’ve found it water at the bottom and so much it’d leak through the seal. By looking at previous posts I found that a common cause is that inlet of the pump getting stuck. Indeed, I could not hear the pump emptying the water at the start of a cycle. So I’ve removed the bit with the filter, drained the water, opened the plastic cap in position 9-12 and cleaned it a bit. Sure enough the pump starting working and everything was fine.
The trouble is that this has begun happening every week to 10 days now. I’ve repeated what above 3-4 times. I thought that I’d be incorrectly replacing the filter and dirt get there, but as far as I can see I am putting everything into place in the right way (can’t really think what one can do wrong there!).
Today we’ve found water again, but I actually doubt that it was what left from the previous cycle (didn’t notice any standing water). I reset the machine and it pumped out the water correctly without having to clean the bit inside.
So I am pretty puzzled here. Can the water be coming in from the drain? Could I have done something wrong when cleaning the inlet for the pump?
Any advice much appreciated
