    Hi. I’m trying to repair an AEG 88730 (pnc 914 002 098 02). It shows a C6 fault code. Looking on the net I gather this is a pressure sensor fault. I have checked for blockage in the pressure tubes. I have bought and fitted a new pressure sensor but machine displays C6 on any program after about 15 seconds. Does the machine need calibrating to the new switch (like Hotpoint)?

    Just a guess but some AEG machines require that you clear the error code.
    Not sure if this is the case with yours, you need to do a detailed google.

    On my machine its a case of holding two buttons in and twisting the selector to two positions in a specific order.

    Tried that. Hold pre-wash & soak buttons while turning knob to gentle spin. When I fitted the old pressure switch back I could select spin, rinse short wash etc with no problem. Tried the new switch again & machine displays C6 whatever program selected.
