WTA 3200 GB/04 FD 7710 . customer complained of noise. although it was okay whilst i was there. i removed pulley tensioner and found the bearing seemed fine. There was no play on the drum. Customer complained that the noise returned after being in use for an hour. Described as An “ou” sound that lasted for a second then starts again then is okay for 5 minutes then starts this noise again.
Is changing the nylon “teflon” bushes at the front difficult on these machines?
i can’t think of what else it could be.
    Any advice welcome.

Wouldn’t think the front drum bearers were a problem. Maybe the fan loose though? 💡

Had one of these a couple of months ago, turned out to be rear drum bearing worn

The impeller was tight. I’ve uplifted to the workshop and after an hour with a full load the oou noise started then stopped. Will look again tomorrow.
This machine is about 10 years old and looks in very good condition but I think customer wont spend much more.
how long would it take to remove front and fit the bearing pads at the front. Parts numbers please. I had a similar fault with a Neff about 10 years ago and BSH send us a kit which included a tube of silicon Grease. I believe that it was quite a labour intensive job.

HERE is the link direct to the Bosch eShop where you can sort out all the part numbers you wish.:D

Access to the drum a doddle, side panels off, rear panel off, lift drum out.
