    Candy C4400 Dishwasher
I heard a small damp squib type noise and a slight burnt smell while my dishwasher was running, it continued running and it still works OK. I have since found some bits of plastic casing under the machine from a small electrical component (about the size of a fluorescent light starter) perhaps a capacitor? I found a burnt out part fitted to the machine just inside where the electric supply comes into it. Some of the wording on it is
    PROCON
    ELETTRON
    413.2770?0
    10Uf (X1) +2 x 15000Pf
    250v~HPF255
Is the machine still safe to use and can I get a replacement. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Re: Candy burnt smell

You should not use the machine until it is fixed, its the mains filter/suppressor that has blown.

Not familiar with this machine, some mains filters are hard wired to the mains cable and some not.

    Parts will be available though.

    EDIT.. Part number is 92741289
