When I wrote something yesterday about never having bought something from a catalogue, well maybe I should have said, “paper catalogue”.
Sad truth is that I get an e-mail from Lidl every week telling me what’s coming up. 😳
So next week they’ve got an angled ratchet spanner on offer and as it’s raining and I’m indoors, I thought I might need one. Can’t really understand how I’ve managed without it for so long.
So are they any use? Does anyone use one regularly?

    Mike.

Had a 10mm one for Bosch motors got fed up with cutting my arm on the back panel with a normal spanner. I’ve lost it though cost me about four quid so not very happy .
I will get another I’m going to have a look at them in lidl . How much are they mike

That looks good for those Hotpoint and Bosch motor bolts but it’s 1/2 inch not 3/8th.
Will have a look next week.

Total undiluted crap Mike, don’t bother. You only need a 90 degree 1/4 and 1/2 inch socket driver in this game. (Britool or Snap-on)

Perhaps even a ratchet ring spanner too! 💡 (I bought a metric set years ago from a ‘Home Depot’ store (in Seattle…. IIRC?) since that time even B&Q here in the UK stock them now!

Tip for you Rolf: Just remove the belt via the back panel and only remove the 10 mm motor screw/bolts from underneath with the machine tipped on its front. Never attempt undoing those 10 mm’s through the back panel, it ain’t worth the risk, those pressed steel panels I swear are made by Wilkinson Sword. :rolls:

To be honest I thought it was just ratchet spanners untill I looked at mikes picture to show the contraption hes bought. 😳
Thanks for the tip martin something for me to think about. The only down side I can see is disconecting all the plumbing to tip it over. Better than looking like a self harmer though 😉
