    Re: hotpoint vtd00

The information you have regarding before & after Aug 08 appears to be incorrect. 😕

The two different stat kits relate to different heater assemblies used after serial number 70802.0001, which is Aug 2007.

Both types were used on production after that serial number but only one type of heater is used as a replacement.

I am 99{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} certain you need stat kit number C00112196 which is actually the earlier stat kit.

From Serial number 70802.0001, before stats are replaced the heater fitted to the machine must be identified first.
The cover of the Blaissi heater has 2 raised dome shaped pips, there is also a Blaissi Label inside the heater attached to the inside of the heater cover
The Cover of the DBK Heater has 4 raised dome shaped pips.

The TOC goes on the left looking from the back and should have an orange spot on it in the C001121196 kit.

The DBK heater has a coil type element, the Blaissi heater has a strip type element.

    Date code example.

    3 10 02 0895
First digit = Year of manufacture 2003
Second two digits = Month of manufacture October
Third two digits = Day of manufacture 2nd of month
Four remaining digits = Build number that day 895th built

So yours is 14th Feb 2005.

Where did you get your initial information from regarding Aug 08 dates?

    Jim.

hi Jim, thanks for lengthy reply with this in hand did return today to take another look, it has four raised pips on back as you describe so its a dbk heater not too sure about coil and strip differences the heater is coiled round but its not thin wire and within the coil is dull silver heat strip just to throw spanner in works, anyway to move forward iv only a none gen heater kit that is alternative to original C00112196, it has a 150degree one shot and 120degree cycling stat, the 150 has a orange spot on,

now on the old heater the stats are arranged with the one shot to the right hand side and the cycling to the left, iv even check backed wiring to make sure someone has not put them the wrong way round and checks out ok, one shot should be on right, there is no apparent colour on the old stats or temp ratings either
basically this seems different from your description of the orange stat to left, as am i right in thinking the orange stat is the one shot.??

i telephone stockist and she opened original C00112196 box that are now instock theres no info leaflet in and no temp ratings either

this just seems to be getting more barmy by the minute for a simple stat change 😳

any futher help jim very much appreciated what i could do with is
each temp rating of original stats and their positon according to temp as that would just make it plain simple as my pattern set of stats have this..

    thanks jim,

I’ll e-mail some stuff, it may help you with the wiring. 😉

From memory I think its orange wires to cycling stat and blue to TOC.
