    Hi

I have just bought a Bosch ceramic hob to replace my old electric hob, and thought the connection would be simple!

The Bosch instructions say “Only connect as per the connection diagram. If necessary, fit the copper bridge supplied.”

Needless to say there was no copper bridge supplied (perhaps fell out of the ‘inadequate’ Bosch packaging).

BUT the connection diagram on the bottom of the hob gives no clues as to which of the connections the phase wire should be connected to!

I have it connected at present to No 2 but that only supplies power to the two left hand side hobs, so perhaps the bridge is needed to supply power to the other two hobs??

Any pointers from any Bosch aware techies would be much appreciated.

    Many thanks

    Hi

Forum rule number 8/ Please do not ask for wiring diagrams, schematics or for us to sort out any wiring problems over the internet. We cannot judge how competent you are nor the future readers of any thread, we’ll try to point you in the right direction but that’s as far as we can legally go.

If you can’t read that wiring diagram, I would strongly recommend you call somebody that can.

Thanks for that! Fortunately another forum provided the information that I was looking for. All now working OK.
