Hotpoint WML740

Have a Hotpoint wml740…switch on and all lights up ok and the door light flashes red…but door lock not operated…machine will not start…machine only a year old …out of Guarantee…any idea’s…or is it just a door lock at fault?

check wiring to motor plug and terminals to carbons if it has any.

unplug door switch then re connect will cure fault done 3 all been ok but a faulty motor can cause this problem you will know when motor runs it will arc bad
