Keymasterthis machine will not work at all!
have checked out the usaul things door catch, valves, pressure switch.the machine will randomly start working (after many attempts at resetting)so it seems that it all works but is not being told what to do.
i have found a supplier of a replacement module
https://vault1.secured-url.com/manna/do … 20Machines
but i also read on these forums about having the correct eprom installed.
the replacement has no note about eprom.
any more info on this would help as i do not want to get this and it still will not work as the price of £80 has to be taken in account as to buying a new machine might be a better option.July 24, 2004 at 7:17 pm #114456Martin

gary37uk,
What are the symptoms of your machine Gary that make you assume the Module is faulty?
From the info you have given so far, there is little for us to go on, please elaborate?

well the machine stopped working, then when i first looked at it it seemed ok, then it just stopped. if you reset the machine, by putting control knob to black spot. then select a program it will just sit there.
so i checked the door catch, which is ok.
i know that the water inlet valves are ok.
the pressure switch is ok.
Now sometimes it will start and wash for a short wile so iam sure that the individual parts and motor are ok.
i have had this machine with a blocked discharge pump and it all worked ok until it reached this point and then the control knob would just click round. which this machine seems to do when a fault occurs.
it will click round if you move the knob when it has started but otherwise it just sits there with the light on.
other strange behaviour has occurred such as i removed the heater wire to check it, with the heater wire removed it started to work.(for a short wile)
so i think the actual individual parts are all ok but are not being told what to do correctly.July 25, 2004 at 9:46 am #114458Martin

Gary,
I still believe it to be a Control Module fault, or connections to it?

checked connections, all look ok, with no signs of burning or corrosion on contacts.
i have now emailed several places to see if i can get a replacement or repair on the module. i do not want to pay £80+ for a new one. which is taking the P***.
if i can not get one it will be a new machine. shame as the machine is only 2 years old.
we had an indesit before that lasted us about 6 years so brought another one, have an indesit dishwasher which is over 10 years old still working.o for the days of the old manual switch, when u knew what was wrong!

http://www.qer.biz/
they can do it at about 1/2 price of a new one. (even less if you are trade)don’t know if anyone know of them or have used them?

I’m pleased you managed to establish a repairer. Indeed we have dealings with QER Ltd, they are generally a Trade Only repairer but have been known to help out anyone in need 😉

P.S. Love your Avatar by the way, very original 😆

thank you to QER, can not recommend them enough.
but bad news, the module is unrepeatable! they can not get the chip that is needed.
good news! they have returned it with no charge. so i at least know that the module was the fault.time for a new machine i think. (unless anyone got a spare module)
anyone want a indesit washing machine 2 years old ? all good except the module.

Gary,
It’s the same old story we have heard, time and time again with these machines I’m afraid.
Better put it down to experience and buy something a bit more pricey, It is worth looking at German brands methinks. You only get what you pay for after all 😉

The words you used when you learned of the module’s repair state was unrepeatable I expect 😆
