I mostly avoid doing dishwashers these days but this one is for an old established customer. They said it was leaking so I thought it safest to bring it to the workshop to try. I took it through the full wash cycle but no leaks so I took it back. Again I put it on at the customers house but only waited for it to do the pre-wash rinse before coming home. I was only back in the house a few minutes when they rang to say it was leaking suds. I had not tried it with a dishwasher tablet as I don’t have such things so my workshop test was just with plain water. Do you think a seal has failed or could it be the Co-op dishwasher tablets they are using? Customer has never really used the machine which was in the house when they moved there.

Oversoaping on Indesit dishwashers is very common, people often put rinse aid in as well as combo tablets. The lower door seal does sometimes fail as well. Another thing to look out for is a split in the lower spray arm.

The only thing to do is to advise them to try separate detergent and rinse aid plus salt if required.
