    Hi,
    I have a black Admiral American style side by side fridge freezer model GC2224GEKB, its just 2 years old. It stopped cooling one day, I notice that when door is opened the compressor kicks in but when door is closed compressor cuts out, lights and all other controls work! As a test, I left the fridge door ajar enough so that it didn’t touch the light switch, and cold air is coming out of vents in both fridge and freezer.
    Any idea what could be causing this?

    hello, the problem is the pcb, located at the top of the fridge compartment.

    Be careful. Many of the Maytag/Electrolux Fridge freezers are blowing the evaporator fan motor, that in turn blows the pcb. Check devices first otherwise you risk blowing the new board.

    P.S. Make sure Electrolux send the correct pcb. Advise them your program code (situated on the main identification label in the fridge)

    given the fault that was reported, the problem lies solely with the pcb in this instance.
