Our Whirlpool 2000+ has an intermittent fault. Sometimes, when truning the oven on, the thermostat dial keeps resetting itself to 160 degC. I’ve cleaned the thermostat probe inside the oven and this seems to reduce the incidence of this fault, but it always returns.
Could anyone point me in the right direction please? Would I be right in concluding that as the fault is intermittent, the thermostat is unlikely to be broken – more likely a loose connection?
