Hi all, been called to the above bosch dishwasher after 1st engineer failed to fix it. The symptoms are : choose any cycle machine start usual humming but then seems to pulse – sounds as if the circulation motor is starting and then stopping repeatedly. The first engineer replace the main control pcb and I have replaced the starter solenoid – still dame problem. If I manually fill the machine with water it starts normally and washes.

Does this sound like the inlet valve/solenoid in the aquastop has failed or is failing – have cleaned the connectors but no joy.

    cheers

Have you checked the pressure chamber and ribbed fill hose for blockages ? you will need to watch the machine fill with the LHS side off.

My guess is that they’re blocked and causing a ‘back-up’ of water to operate the red float / flood protection microswitch therefore operating the pump on and off .

Very common problem that also causes low water levels as the water going into the appliance is getting pumped out.
