whirlpool awoe8548 random crashing

went to this one today,fault reported was failing to drain water.unable to unscrew filter because front panel covered top third of it.unscrewed pump and found that the wiring connector broken off pump.re attached connector and tested machine, it pumped out no problem.ran short program and it crashed and reset twice after about 10 min. then worked fine.rang this eve and still working ok after 3 washes, any ideas as to why it did this.usual tests done heater brushes etc. paul
