Just enquired after a thermostat for this machine. When the supplier checked there was a sharp intake of breath “ooh stay away from that one, its a conversion, looks like a complete bar steward!”
Anyone done it, can’t you just use original part?
Was my supplier trying to get me off the phone because i disturbed his breakfast?

Original has been superseded and you can only get conversion now, AFAIK.
I did one in April this year and it took well over an hour, but I was being very methodical, so I didn’t go wrong!
There was a slight problem with the printed instructions, in that one of the cables (the yellow one, I think, if my memory serves me correctly), was so feintly printed on the diagram that I couldn’t find where it went at first, but that was the only hiccup I had.
I wouldn’t say stay away, though, it wasn’t that much of a pain.

Did one myself earlier this year and it was a kit of 2 thermostats, 2 selectors and wiring plus knobs.
It does take about hour and worth spending a bit of time reading the instructions before you go.
The original thermostats are not available.

done plenty, if you get the kit from stoves it comes with colour instructions, while some other suppliers seem to give you b&w photocopy which are very difficult to read. Once you know how a stoves comes apart
its quite an easy job but its not cheap and will do both ovens whether you want to or not (connect were cheapest, for once, last time I looked) and on some cookers the stat action is reversed so to get to the lower temperature, you have to turn the knob past the high temperature and have to turn the temperature up before getting to the off position, if you understand what I mean-not good considering how much the customers bill is. -
