We sent Jonesie out to fit a lower door seal on a Neff S55553XOGB07 dishwasher part number 298534 but he cannot fit it, we have confirmed the part number as correct but he says the rubber part is just too short, anyone else had these problems?

Joe,
Yes the Bottom Door Seal Kit has changed and in order to fit it you need to take off both side panels. Release the door spring/cords etc in order to locate the new type fitting.
(I do recall the new Seal Kit is actually longer than the old type not shorter as your guy Jonesie describes though 😕 )

Yes thanks Martin, once I confirmed it was the correct part, I sent him back and somehow he managed it this time. The problem was not the width being too long as much as the rubber “skirt” being to short. I guess the thought of that put his mind off track. Sometimes he is not in Complete Control and he keeps asking me if he should stay or should he go. Maybe its just the heat that got to him as London’s Burning right now.

Joe, the references to The Clash has not gone unnoticed by those of us that remember them or even know who they are.
I asssume you’re career with them did/does not pay enough and appliance repairs had to be resorted to 😆
