    Hi,

    I have a ADP5406.

The machine starts, fills, sounds like its heating then after about a minute drains the water away and switches off. No error lights or anything. Does the same on all settings.

We have taken out the filters and arms and given them a good clean. It seemed to be working and now has done the same again.

The only thing that seems to work is pouring just boiled water and then running the machine and then it works ok. Although this is a solution as we are on economy 7 I don’t want to get up in the middle of the night to boil the kettle!

If this problem has coincided with the recent cold weather , it is quite possible that the NTC in the base of the dishwasher is reading a temperature too cold to allow the machine to run ie if the incoming water is very cold or if the machine itself is in a very cold situation … the indication that it runs ok with warm water priming it points to this
