Have just had to fit a replacement ‘Y’ hose, heater and rising tube kit (50290104004) in order to fix a leaking ‘Y’ hose on this AEG dishwasher which had a large diameter heater fitted.

All went well until the final stage – the rising tube supplied, doesn’t fit. It stops a foot short of the upper spray arm connection at the back of the machine. It appears to terminate with a screw thread and a back flange as if to accept a screw-on extension with a sealing washer. But no part supplied with the kit or available as a spare that I can find.

I’m stumped. What am I missing? How do I make it long enough to reach??

    Thanks in advance.

Pipe does’nt go as far as the spray arm connection at back of the dishwasher, it should only reach to corner of dishwasher & connect (via screw connection) to a manifold which goes across back of appliance.

Thanks Seamy. The manifold seems to be what’s missing. Would you know the part number? Cant see anything on TDS. The original was in one piece but wont fit the new heater.

Would really appreciate some help on this one.

1526386006 is the horizontal manifold that connects from back of top spray arm to pipe. Hope this is what you need, it’s shown on TDS under “hydraulic system” of parts.

Thanks Seamy. That’s what I need. I guess this machine must be one of the earlier ones. Have ordered various nuts and washers to go with the manifold. I only hope it fits after all this and that I don’t end up buying new spray arm etc. Appreciate your help on this one.
