    Anyone know how to get the date of manufacture out of a Rangemaster serial number.
    I have one that the serial is 5493090380 that the customer claims is only 2 years old and I have my doubts.

    use the first 4 digits on the number

    The 1st 4 digits give you the actual model details. The rest I can never work out the date code.

    The rest is just a production number. There is no way of getting a date from the serial.
