    Hi,
A customer has brought her dryer to us for repair. The fault is a bit strange. It works fine for about 10 minutes and then goes off, pressing the start button does nothing. If I leave it for some time I can start it again and the same thing happens. Does anyone have any ideas where I should start? Its about 2 years old so I don’t think they would be happy getting a replacement so soon.

Try bypassing the relay and see what happens, they are dropping like flies 😉

Got one of these (T620CW) that doesn’t heat 🙁 No feed to the heater, heater toc’s or the exhaust toc. No feed also to the float chamber microswitch and in case you were wondering, this model doesn’t have a seperate reverse timer. So! My diagnosis has led me to conclude the timer contacts are at fault, and not having a bl**dy wiring diagram 👿 to hand, have ordered one anyway.

Has anyone fitted a Timer to one of these I wonder? The wholesalers have plenty in stock, so I guess there is a need for them 😕 , it’s just that I have never come across a faulty timer on a 14 month old dryer before :con:

    Any thoughts?

    Martin,
If it’s the neutral switch through the timer that’s failed it should be stone dead, shouldn’t it? From your description above I assume that the motor is running?

They also list 1702245 “Trouble Shooting Guide” for this machine – worth checking out?

    Cheers,
    Chris.

As I’m at home I don’t have Partfinder, but isn’t there a “hidden” stat on this one between the front panel and the front drum support/air duct ?

    Dave.

Yes Dave, correct, That stat (exhaust/overheat) is fine, just no power to it though 🙁

    Hi all
Martin the only note I have about this model is the one shot c/o in the back.
The little monkey tested ok with my fluke but when fired up no go.
when changed for a new one all was ok.
    That was tumble cold.
    Hope some help to you.

i have had this a few times with these when the stats and float chambre switch have been o.k and its turned out to be the timer. i have a couple of wiring diagrams for these- if you need one pm me the serial no. and i can email you a copy

Just to update the thread, It was the Timer that was faulty (Part No 1702509) in this case.

Specifically, contact B2 on Copreci made Timer that feeds the Front Stat (Black/White lead) was open circuit (No sign of burning either 😕 )
