Just thought I share my experience…
I visited a job with a description of non working dishwasher. The client rarely use it as she’s the only person who lives in the house. her son in law organised a kitchen fitter to fit the kitchen along with the fitted dishwasher few years ago who now was unable to get in contact for further information on the dishwasher.
On my arrival, I looked at the machine, my suspicion rose when the client could not say the make of the dishwasher and the manual did not say. I was left scratching my head wondering if this was a chinese made dishwasher as it looks so similar to a Diplomat dishwasher I looked at few months before, they too showed same faults with all the LED lights flash once then pause then flash every second. I paused for a moment thinking that it got to be a whirlpool derived machine under some brand that is not well known.
Gleaning from the UK whitegoods fault codes book, I drew to a conclusion that a PCB is likely the culprit and therefore a replacement board is required. That was only half of the problem, trying to establish the make is another matter, if it wasn’t for Google then I would have been stumped.
In the end I typed in the model number on the search engine and it came up as Haier.
Are there any suppliers who supply Haier parts for dishwasher as Connect and Masterpart don’t stock it? Not that I want to fix it which I won’t but purely out of interest.
