    eventually found part number is: 480121100989

    oven element that is £42.00 plus vat plus delivery

    before i give up does anyone know of an alternative?

    oven is ikea but whirlpool made and is:857926715500

    Have you got the old one?
    http://www.elementman.co.uk and other similar retail sites give clear details of all elements and you can often then find a pattern from your preferred wholesaler.
