    Please help! I have 17 people for dinner tomorrow!

    My CDA CW497 dishwasher is not working and is displaying error code 11 which I think relates to water coming in.
    There doesn’t seem to be a problem with the water – no frozen pipes – or inlet hose.
    When I try to run a wash cycle the machine beeps the error code after a few seconds. When I open the dishwasher the cycle indicator has moved to the rinse setting.

    I have tried turning the machine off and resetting a few times but with no joy.

    Can anyone help please?

    F11 or FA fault code means water indicator not switched on when water inlet energized, could be 3 things, water in the base of the appliance which will stop it filling, pressure switch faulty or possibly the main PCB control system faulty.

    All of these will need a qualified Engineer as you will need to diagnose what is causing the fault, the only thing you could possibly check is if water is in the base tray but you will need a Torx (Star) screwdriver to get the bottom front panel off the dishwasher after you have taken the decor wood door off and kickboard plinth, switch off and unplug from the mains electricity before you do anything :zap:

    Hi there Dave

    thanks for such a quick reply!

    I think it might be the ‘water in the base’ scenario as I have had a dodgy pipe in the cupbboard next to the dishwasher and some water leakage there which may somehow have got into the dishwasher base.

    I don’t think I’m up to taking doors and stuff off though but will try to get a friend to have a look. Hopefully it’s fairly easy to dry out if there is water there and the dishwasher will work again!

    be aware if the appliance is failing and its not an external leakage, then it will happen again within 1-6 weeks of draining, depending on speed of leakage. you can usually assume your safe after 8 weeks 🙂
