    Hi,

    My WF541 has developed a fault. I went to empty the machine last night and noticed that all lights on the front panel were lit. I switched the machine off, and switched it back on again 2 minutes later, now the wash light comes on (or the rinse light if I select a rinse program) when I press start but no others. I can also hear what I think to be the water in solenoid clunk, but nothing else happens. I cannot open the door.

    Any help appreciated.

    sounds like a carbon brush fault to be honest

    Thank you very much.. Are worn brushes likely to have damaged the motor drive circuitry ?

    not if you change them before they do any damage

    they should be ok if the fuse hasnt tripped or anything

    Thanks for your help helo_75. A new pair of brushes from the local Appliance Spares shop has sorted the problem 😀
