I’ve seen a lot of threads on the F-03 being displyed, but wanted specific advice on how to go about repairing my exact machine…

basically it starts on test mode, then displays the F-03 error code and doesn’t come out of test mode. I’ve been told by hotpoint that thats the error code for an electircal fault.

although instead of getting an engineer from hotpoint to look at it, would there be any solutions i could try myself. I read somewhere else that possibly it could be that a cable has simply been disconnected

any info would be greatly appreciated

Re: Hotpoint WF840 F-03 Error Code

F03 is supposed to signify a wash heater NTC ( thermistor) fault.

It could be a loose or broken wire to the NTC, a faulty NTC or poor connections on the main PCB.

The NTC is the small device that is slotted into the heater plate with two very thin (usually blue) wires attached.

Please make sure you remove the mains plug if you intend to go inside.

Behind the lower back panel, slots into the heater which is itself slotted into the outer drum, bottom right.
