ParticipantHad a call on this one today. Going out to it tomorrow.
The machine starts and the door locks. Starts to fill then stops filling after a second or so. No fault lights come up. If you put it into spin program the pump will operate and the drum will tumble but there will be no spin and the program will not enduntil you turn the machine off. Also, if you try to reset the program, instead of resetting the program it puts the program on pause; then if you turn the dial it starts the program back up again.
History. Customer had a problem (Sounds like pressure switch related problem) overfil and water coming out of drawer. He goes onto the internet and someone told him to empty the filter… He has had this problem since.

Probably the welded drum version with pump at the front, now water all over the module’s electrics! 🙁

Sounds more like he’s been putting wires in the wrong place. Either on the board or the pressure switch.

Just been out to this one… Split drum with Module at the top.
The guy switched the machine on to show me the problem.
The Door Interlock operated.
The Pump opperated.
The Valve opened to fill. After about 10 seconds there was a bang. I took off the besel to look at the module and sure enough the module had blown. it had taken out all the following tracks ‘From right to left’ 2, 3, and 5. Now 2 and 3 belong to the door lock and 5 belongs to the motor. It was a dead earth with a very loud bang and that tripped at the consumer unit rather than blowing the fuse in the plug. I would say that the door switch had been wired the wrong way around, but the door switch actually locked.
Anyway I told the guy that it was gonna cost him more than the value of his machine. If the truth be known he had proberbly had the machine in bits and re-wired something the wrong way around.

Then it wouldn’t have been an Interlock fault George as that would trip on switch on, not after 10 secs. Also the interlock has a plug-in connector block so hardly something someone would mess with TBH. Motor the most likely of suspects. 😉
