    I have an Ariston AWD2000 which gets to the drain cycle then just clicks round.

    From reading through the posts on this website it could be a blockage in the filter. Easy enough to check except…. I can’t open it!

    I managed to turn the filter about a quarter of the way round and drain out all the water but I can’t get further than that. The filter in my last Ariston was removed by turning it and pulling it out – is this one different? If it’s the same, how can I pull it out (I’ve already tried pliers…)?

    its jammed
    unplug it

    tilt it back, unscrew the pump, take it out undernath and remove the pump base with 3 screws

    its the only way to do it without breaking it

    Thanks! I managed to get the filter out and there was a penny in it. The washing machine still doesn’t drain though so I’ll try the pump next…. Then the drain hose… Then a hammer… 😀
