My washing machine wont pump out….
I keep getting an ‘error 9’ message on the screen. My wife called hoover, who said it was pump failure, and we would need to call an engineer out,(£80) or alternatively buy a new pump and fit it myself (£23).. you can guess which option was more attractive.. Well the pump arrived, and I fitted it, it can only go on one way, so I know I haven’t done it wrong.. Hey presto, ‘error 9’ rears its nasty littlle head again, scuppering my money saving (some say tight) plans.. Any ideas what ‘error 9’ means?I’ve tried pretty much everything apart from taking a lump hammer to it, and thats looking more likely every day my clothes fester in the smelly laundry bin…

    Please help dudes!! 😡

    Re: Hoover aaa160-01 problem..

To my knowledge an error code “E9” is a much more serious problem concerning the Motor and Circuit Board rather than the Pump being at fault 😕

Does the error you have read E9 or what exactly I wonder?

A pump error message would be E3, so your information direct from Hoover was (possibly) a bit off track 🙁

    Thanks Martin..

Now you mention it, Ive just had the back off, and the drum spins one way, makes an awful noise and then just throws itself in the opposite direction.. Not healthy..
Will call an engineer, thanks for your help mate..
