Complaint of no spin and controls will not cancel.

Set to spin, pump ran for five or six seconds then cut out, no motor action, start & spin light on but machine would not cancel no matter how long SPC button held in.

Motor & brushes fine, new ones fitted within last 12 months.

    All other quick visuals OK.

Ran diagnostics and it came up with error code 110, which I have only seen once before on a machine that boiled a load of cashmere jumpers.
110 is heater on all the time and indicates a PCB fault.

Changed PCB, set to a wash programme and it filled but did not wash. I was able to cancel it and it drained out but when set to spin the same fault occurred. Meggered heater and found it was slightly down to earth.

    Changed heater but no joy.
Plugged in a new motor, tried a pressure switch, swapped the PCB’s back over without success. 😥

All wiring looks perfect, I’m now struggling. I am wondering if the low insulation on the heater has corrupted both boards. It wasn’t that bad because after drying it out it gave a decent insulation reading.

Apart from the valves, doorlock, pump & mains filter or another PCB I am flummoxed.

    Any suggestions more than welcome.

    Jim.

Have you checked motor readings at the pcb end Jim? sound like o/c motor/ broken wire?

All wiring appears fine, I have seen the wires to the tacho break before so did have a close look. 😉

Also that wouldn’t explain the 110 error code or the heater down to earth.
