Hi all, Looking for some help on my washing machine problem.

The machine seems to be leaking out of the washing powder draw. It seems to do this once the wash cycle has run and goes into a spin in the rinse cycle, the drum has a fair amount of water in it as expected at that part of the overall cycle and seems to force the water out via the washing powder draw.

Any help in trying to explain why it would be doing this is greatly appreciated.

    Cheers Steve

It shouldn’t have water in it when it spins at the end of each rinse. Probably draining slowly – check filter, drain hose, sump.

    Hi Odom,

many thanks for your reply, there was a access panel on the back which gave access to the pump and sump.

on taking the pipe between the sump and pump off, I found a hair clip which had jammed the float ball, it would seem this was stopping the float from raising and thus emptying the water in time for the spin.

Again many thanks for you reply and the fix.

    Steve 😀
