Has got to stop ,once again Dr Dill has managed to have a WTA thread ending up as a slanging match between himself and all comers .
We either starve him of oxygen by not responding to anything he says except through me as Chairman on behalf of all ,or we each take a role and neutralise his points of view ,i.e good cop bad cop scenario ,I don’t mind which but we need to do something .
I know the guy is a Tw2t ,I was the one he verbally assaulted at the meeting twice ,he has issues with authority ,and with the world at large as far as I can see ,and whilst we can try and flush him out for the dick that he is a lot of people viewing the thread just wont see it and will form an opinion of him & the WTA we need to manage the latter carefully .

All the while ignoring the obvious around RETRA, DASA, AMDEA and all others that also publish information to members, for members.
He also repeatedly ignores stuff he doesn’t care to answer as he either can’t or it’d damage his argument to do so. Which is why I keep pressing the point as, the more I do the more a moron he seems.
Fact is though, even Martin told him to STFU, so it must be bad. 😉

He was a loud mouthed arsehole on the Repaircare forums as well, but was one of the first to say he would take the rate cut when it came down to the nitty gritty of possibly losing the work.
He likes the sound of his own voice and is one of those people who you will never shut up. You are allowed an opinion as long as it’s his

I think you’re right Lawrence, either that or he is just up for an argument which he is not doing very well at winning.
He writes before his brain is engaged and this has just been proven by his statement about a WTA Chairman being employed.
… But yes, let him put any points to the committee in writing then we can publish them while ripping them apart, but, if you expect that to shut him up then I doubt it.
I’d love to take him up on his offer of travelling the country at his own expense to vet members.. 😀

TBH, he’s just gonna keep having a dig I reckon.
Which is why I was trying to make him argue his points rather than just dropping a clanger every now and then as, if he’s forced to come up with some sort of explanation for bumping his gums about it then he’s also go to think about what he’s saying.
He certainly seems to have gotten a bit of the message and appears less confrontational the past couple days.
We’ll see I guess.
But I so, so hope he brings up the training and certification thing as I’m completely ready for that one and, to blow the argument for it to smithereens.

The problem with a lot of this and, it’s evident in the DASA response as well, is that a lot of small companies all see things in a different light depending on any number of varying factors. Quite often missing the points that others have or, missing the point completely and/or wanting things to change for the sole benefit of themselves.
Thing is, you have to live with that regardless of who you happen to be.
And, someone is always going to lose a bit, some will gain a bit whenever there’s change. The trick is to recognise where you can benefit and make the most from it.
For example, the thing about online/offline pricing.
What happens is you get Currys or whoever flogging something for less than you can buy it, happens all the time. Instead of b1tching about getting extra discounts why not have the legislation that is already in place enforced, in that all have to buy at the same pricing. Is a level playing field (or reasonably level) not better than one where anything goes and the big guys can do stuff like that by levering some stupid deal that nobody else can access?

Why are you guys wasting so much time trying to reel him in, he playing you, he is trying to see if he can get you to slip up at any cost.
He is not interested in joining full stop, a leopard cant change their spots.
One hand says he supports what we do, the other he trying to pick a fight and discredit all the hard work.
He is more like a skunk, leaves a nasty smell where ever he goes.
No matter what you say or do he will always do the oposite.
Just look at the repair care forums he changes sides when ever it suits, he shit stiring and just wines people up for a living.
Dont give him the satisfaction.Ade you wont get a penny out of him guaranteed.
Give him enough rope and he’ll hang himself.

It’s easy to dismiss him. It’s easy to cast him off as a d1ck that is out to cause trouble. Apologies, but he has got my back up on a number of occasions. My answer is not to beat him, because that’s easy…! I’m going to turn him! End of. Slowly slowly catchy monkey!
