remove switch bank from facia to gain access.
thanks JohnJanuary 14, 2011 at 9:23 pm #341146nomadPaul
ParticipantI can’t be certain but try pulling off the selector knobs and looking through the hole. You might find a couple of torx screws holding it on.

nomadPaul, thanks for your reply, you may be correct, these knobs are around 2inches length by around guarter inch wide..and they are the type you push back into recess when not in use..not sure you can pull this type off..can anyone please confirm as I need to know as I have already called once, need to be able to complete job next visit.
thanks John.
perhaps someone may a drawing !!January 16, 2011 at 1:00 pm #341148nomadPaul
ParticipantThe selector knobs def pull off John……and the drawing is inconclusive to give a definitive answer. But i’m almost sure the 2 securing torx screws re behind the knobs.

nomadpaul, thanks for getting back to me, I will try what you advise, I am sure you must be right as there are no screws ect on the other side.

The exploded view is available on Connect mediator but, as Paul said, it isn’t much help. It looks as though you could seperate the fascia complete with switches from the rest by taking off side panels to access screws (I’m assuming) going in from sides. That would allow you to see a bit better how things fit together. There has to be a way! Please post up your findings so we can all access the info when we need it.

I did return to this today..and completed the job..
Just to update..to gain access to stat..remove top cover to access switch bank…then standing above the oven you can see the knob shaft , useing a flat screwdriver ease the long (white) knob off the stat shaft once this moves it will pull off easily from front. then useing a long torx you can release the stat screws..donePauls advise was correct, but to release the knob its easier to do as above, unable to move from front !!
As Mike suggested, I hope this info will be of use to all of you.
Thanks again Paul & Mike for your help.
