My machine has recently started playing up, hoping you can help out. It started with a drier fault, where it stayed on ALL night (some of the white clothes now have a brown tinge to them!)….i’m guessing this must have something to do with a sensor but I dont know where in the machine this is or even if that is the problem….?
My second is that when washing, the water is getting VERY hot…I wouldn’t have thought these problems are related but then i’m no expert….

Any parts advice and /or general repair instructions would be very much appreciated.

What you have is a low end, Indesit made appliance. It has endless known faults including very poor electronic controls.

The faults you describe are not that common hence the lack of replies.

Most faults should generate an error code and flash the lights on the front, is this happening at all?

Thanks for the reply, and sorry for my slow response. There have been no fault codes showing on the machine, but now the machine is dead! Tried it on a 60c wash for some towels, but ended up having to stop the machine mid-cycle due to the amount of steam coming out…eventually the door lock released (even though it was still full of boiling hot water!) and I got it all emptied. I have now changed the ‘water temp sensor’ and all seemed to be going ok on a 30c wash, until the end of the wash cycle, then ‘ALL’ the lights went off…but it carried on with the rinsing, after a while like this it stopped….no noises…no lights…full of water!! I have now emptied the water again (no blockages in drain filter or pump), and left it unplugged for 1hr, when tried again all the lights come on for a couple of seconds then all stay off and door locks but nothing else happens and none of the buttons seem to do anything!!

Sorry if this is a bit long winded, I wanted to get in as much detail as possible so that hopefully someone can help me…although I think its gonna end up on the back a lorry with all the other scrap metal…!!

Have you checked the Inter board wiring connectors where they plug onto the PCB’s etc? & are you sure you fitted the correct sensor? If so & there are no error codes showing then you are probably looking at a new PCB (Not really worth it) & not a DIY repair or a replacement machine.

Thanks for the reply, all connections were good, so I have regrettably opted for a new machine…not a washer drier this time though!!!!
