I purchased an ISE5 in March 2009. This was installed on tiles which were on top of a wooden floor. When I first had it I was concerned by the noise and vibration it made when spinning and called the installer back to check it. He said it was because of the floor.
It has continued to be noisy but yesterday it was much noisier and vibrating more than usual, so much so that that it moved forward from under the worktop about 9 inches and the detergent drawer came open. ( this drawer does sometimes come open) I would have thought that the out of balance protection mechanism should have cut in and stopped the spin but it didnt.
This morning Ive run it on empty and it didnt vibtate or make a noise. Does anyone have any idea what is going on? When the office is open I will give them a call.
Can you move the washing machine at all if you hold it by the top and move it back and forth? If so, the legs might need to be adjusted to ensure they’re making good contact with the floor. Use the locking nuts above the feet to ensure they don’t move.
If the machine is stable it could be a number of things, call ISE and use your warranty to get it sorted :).
Make sure that the machine is not tilting forward. If the machine is not level from front to rear this can cause exactly what you discribe… This is so for most machines.
