    I have just replaced the bearings in my Hoover Logic 1200 washing machine (model A3786, serial no. A378610106609), however I have discovered a broken ceramic washer. I believe it may be called a drum face ceramic/counterface. It is approx 60mm in diameter and the hole is 32mm. I understand it fits between the drum spindle and the seal. Any help you can provide in identifying the part and in sourcing it would be much appreciated. UK Whitegoods no longer stock the part. Thank you.

    Checking my 1991 Hoover Service Product Data manual does not show the counterface as a separate part. It is/was only listed as available as part of the inner drum and spider assembly. I’m not sure if it was ever made available as a spare but the chances of finding one are very unlikely.

    I would think that even the drum and spider have been declared obsolete long ago.

    Unless you can pick up an old machine with a good drum I think you may have serious difficulty in obtaining one. 😥

    You know, something in the back of my mind told me that it was available as a separate part, just wasn’t sure. 😳

    Doubt if the OP will have access to Connect though. 😕

    EDIT, Hi Martin, had forgotten they are pushing that site. :rolls:
    In fact looking at the PART I now realise I have fitted one or two of those, must be nearly 20 years since the last one though. 😯

    When I enquired about this part (682546), the supplier was unable to confirm that it was suitable for my model (A3786). Is anyone able to answer this question or alternatively provide the dimensions for the part? Thanks again.

    If suedehead1 says it is the correct part then I would believe him. There is no other counterface available for ancient Hoover machines so for a few quid you have very little to lose. 🙂
