ParticipantHi All
Hope someone can give an insisght!
I have moved in to a new house with an IGNIS ADL 934 already installed.
When I switch to programme 2 (Regular Wash) or any programme for that matter, I get the power light blink at me four times and it wont start the programme. If i press and hold the power switch for a five or more seconds the machine will start but just whirrs away and doesnt fill with water. It does this for about 5 minutes before stopping and the light blinking four times in a repeating pattern again.
Trial and error has shown me (I have no instruction book and couldnt find error codes on this site) that if I switch the machine back to off, then press and hold the start button and switch the machine to programme 1 and keep holding the start button for a further 10 seconds that i will get a rapidly blinking light, which if i then release the start button and press it again I sometimes get the machine to start again, but it isnt cleaning properly.
Ive tried switching off and on again at mains power as well, but seems to make no difference.
Sorry this all sounds a bit complex, but would really appreciate any help, advice or ideas from anyone out there!!
Many Thanks!

Anyone able to offer any advice? Really appreciate any ideas or is it time to look for an engineer?

i don’t know if you’ve managed to cure this fault. the easiest way if you are lucky is to remove all water from thesump. then pour in a kettle of boiling water and let it stand for a bit. usually this fault is caused by a membrane switch ( black or white guaze located right side of sump under filter cover) getting blocked with grease/gunge. if youre lucky it will disolve. i have twice only had to change switch. if it doesnt work then try again and brush it with old tooth brush or similar.
you will then have to reset and try a cycle.
hope this helps -
