How do you get into this? It needs a new flex fitting which I have obtained.Ive removed the screws on the motor casing(5) and the top cover(4) but it doesnt seem to want to split. Are there some hidden plastic catches.Used to fix vacs but just doing this for customer after fixing the washer – seemed like an easy fix-how wrong can you be.

    Hi Reaper,

I saw one in bits quite a while ago, I don’t remember any plastic clips. Now that doesn’t mean there aren’t any as my memory could be flagging. :rolls:

I’ve never stripped a vac down the wasn’t too hard to open up (except a Daewoo cylinder jobbie 😯 ), but some do have their stupid designs to stop them being servicable. I remember the casing was quite plasticky and easy to break though. Modern day quality, don’t you just love it.

Sorry I can’t be of anymore help. 😳

    All the best,

    Oliver.

    P.S. Nice location BTW. 😀

Sorry, only just spotted this in the public forums, moved it over just in case you still need help.

You should have posted this on the trade side Reaper. 😉

Put it in the vac forum because I thought thats where the vac problems would be answered.Sorted problem out in the end, the two white plastic rings on either side of the motor casing lock it together -they turn in one direction only( with care).A right pain of a job just to replace the cable.

For a variety of reasons not all trade members will post in, or even read the public forums so any technical queries regardless of machine type are best kept to the trade side.
