    I have a Zanussi ZDT41 which was purchased in September 2009 – so is typically out of warranty by a couple of months.

    It runs through its cycle OK but has stopped heating up – (the water doesnt heat nor does it dry at the end) I’m guessing its the thermostat? (I have no real idea with these things) is there a way of telling what the problem is? As i say it runs through the cycle so there is no error code?

    And how easy would it be for a novice to repair??

    Having done a search I cannot even find a reference to this model either in the forum or the spare parts section.

    Are you sure it doesn’t heat, we get lots of calls for drying related problems which are actually caused by lack of rinse aid & droplets of water remaining on glasses etc.
    Failing that test heater and check cable connections to board for bad connections. Power off of course :lesson:

    Thanks for the reply, I’ve opened it to check mid cycle and immediately after and water is cold/no steam etc.

    How do I go about testing the heater etc?

    Is there a beginners guide anywhere you know of?
