    Hi Guys

    Whirlpool AKZ161/AV

Went to this oven today. Customers says that if he sets the temp at 200C it takes an age to get there then doesnt hold the temp.

When I visited I set the temp to 200C with the back off.
The oven starts to heat, fine – then click, the power from the PCB to the sensor is stopped. Therefore there is no power to the element, then click the power is back to the sensor and the oven starts to heat again.
The clicking is coming from the relay on the PCB. Having read some other posts, there have been trouble with the PCB’s.

    Any suggestions?

These ovens heat up in stages and it is normal for the heater relay to click in and out especially when the selected temp is within about 20 degs.
If you want say 200 C quickly then set a higher temp and turn down when reached.

Has the customer wrapped the shelf in foil to keep it clean cos that would affect temp?

NTC is worth a try but looks like PCB may be the problem.

    Expensive 👿

BTW AFAIK the NTC on this is a PTC if you are testing it.
