    Wondering if anyone can enlighten me on a problem with the above m/c.

    When a programme is selected, the door interlock engages before the programme immediately aborts.

    The fault code in the user manual indicates that the flaps of the drum door have opened, which they have not.

    The only programme that appears to work is the wool programme. This seemed fine when tested, and confirmed by customer.

    I suspect an electrical fault, possibly the main control unit, but would welcome some advice as I have little experience with top loaders.

    you need to enter diagnostics to get proper fault code
    if you want some light reading give me the product code
    ( there are 6 machines with same model number )

    Thanks for your reply Dave,

    The m/c’s Serial No: 417 00050 Type: 98P22699

    Instruction Manual states that when END light flashes ten times, the flaps of the drum door are open.

    I wonder if there is a sensor sending a false message, although I’m mystified as to why the wool and delicates programmes appear fine.
