I am looking at the above Combi Microwave Oven.

when plugged in the top right hand corner (when viewed from the back of the PCB is getting very hot and smoking. The display remains blank.
The low voltage in the base of the cabinet is also getting fairly hot.
The only other fault I can find with this oven is the base oven element has an earth fault of about 45M Ohms, which I shouldn’t think would cause the PCB problem.

I am assuming this is going to be the PCB but wondered if there’s anything else I could have missed before I order the PCB.

    Hi pete909,

If I disconnect the elements the PCB still gets too hot.

Are there an Electrolytic capacitors on the display PCB? & if there are have you checked that none are s/c ? have had this problem with several display boards on different machines.
