That thread by Brian regards spares is getting damned interesting even if we’re offering consultancy work for bugger all.

The question is can we profit from it, financially or otherwise?

Thing is the guy is some kinda honcho for Hotperloni, I assume that much of the slagging they’re getting is being relayed back in some form, is this a ruse to get more info or to open a door? As yet I must admit to being unsure of the intent so I’ve opened the door for them, let’s see if they step through it as it’s blatently obvious to a blind man that they have serious service issues at the moment and that must be affecting sales.

As you both know, Brian emailed me directly after I posted there last week, presumably he’ll reply when he gets back to his office on Tuesday.

I’ll forward his reply on and we’ll see what he’s thinking 😉

Although I would imagine he wants to sell spares via the shop or use UKW as a selling tool to reach more customers directly, either way he will have to make it financially viable for the site.

Yeah Dave I think that’s the angle as well to a degree, but he let the cat out the bag a bit with the comments regarding the early BER on Merloni product. I think there’s more to this than meets the eye and that our friend “Brian” has a bit more sway than we’re giving him credit for about now. Bearing in mind he has also stated that he has control of the information that goes onto Partfinder, so he has some control there that is no doubt co-ordinated by the service side.

We’ll just have to wait and see what he comes up with next.
