    have as above (howdens)

    model HJA8630

    no action when switched on – you can programme ok but nothing starts
    no initial drain pump action

    have checked pcb mod no signs of any damage
    door switch tests out ok,

    any ideas most welcome

    as its built in just look at panel in first instance

    Is it old enough to have a broken cable or cables at bottom of door panel ❓

    you need to hold down the start button for an age to reset that machine. (until the light flashes rather than just goes out IIRC) I got caught out on one the other day with a blown capacitor as it appeared to not be doing anything when in fact it was still in the wash cycle. Was not until i touched the heater (hot!) that I figured it out.
    just a thought.
