    Hi we are having issues with our Zannussi FJS 1225, machine tonight got down to last ten mins of wash then countdown stopped. Grinding noise could then be heard from what looks like pump situated behind filter door. Tried to reset to no success just the grinding noise coming from pump area. Was then left with some water in drum and locked door which proved a bugger to get open. Any ideas on problem and likely costs re repair/tip

    If you remove the filter & look into the pump with a small torch you may see whats obstructing the pump & be able to remove it from there. If not you will possibly need to remove the pump to clear the obstruction, also check that there is no damage ot the pump impellor. If the pump is damaged you should be able to find a replacement at the UKWG shop@ feature.

    Please remember: POWER OFF & PLUG OUT BEFORE delving in, getting :zap: will seriously ruin your day.

    Exactly what it was. A hair grip had bypassed the filter and was wedged in pump. New pump required though but bought off site for less than £20.00 and fitted by myself sorted. Thanks for your help.
