    Hi, first posting for me.

I’ve got a Smeg DWF 64 SS dishwasher that has been pulled out from under the worktop by my tilers. Unfortunately the water supply hose wasn’t long enough and has come off from within the machine – muppets. It has an anti-flood device on the supply end but I haven’t got a clue where the machine end connects to. I’ve had a good look under the machine but there is nothing obvious.
Can anybody describe where it should go if looking up into the machine when it’s laid on it’s back or what component it should connect to? Or even better if someone could direct me to a technical drawing would be fantastic.
Tried Smeg techinal help without success – just want to send an engineer out at silly prices.
    Any help appreciated – cheers.

Itom, is this the actual fill hose that’s come away or something else? The fill hose should be grey and go to the water supply and if it’s got a lumping big valve assembly thing on the end where it connects to yoour plumbing then it’s an anti-flood one, which ain’t cheap.

There are no technical drawings really, just generic parts diagrams which will not show what you want.

    Thanks for the reply kwatt.

Yep it is the water supply hose. The hose outer sheath resembles the waste but it has an inner hose (blue and about half inch) and cable for the anti-flood device running through it. The tilers have given it a good pull and it has come off from within the machine. It will just push back on as the spring clip has come off with it but I can’t see where it goes back on. Have you any idea which component it would attach to – pump or resevoir etc?

    Cheers

If it’s the fill hose then it goes onto the water inlet valve to the rear of the unit.

However, if it’s bust to that extent you’ll doubtless need a new one I should think.

You need disconnect from the electrical supply and remove the right hand (when you are facing the front of the appliance) side panel. It fits onto a plastic moulding in the botton rear corner.
They must have given it one hell of a tug though for that to come off and I would check the wiring that also runs through the outer casing of that hose a check too before plugging it in again.

Hi, just so you know the water stop hose is part number 688971773 and is priced at £66.57 excluding VAT and carriage on my 2003 price list, I don’t have a new PL for 2004 so I assume its unchanged.

Looks as if your tilers may have to stump up and, as Mark said, they must have given it a really good tug to do that damage.

£74.89 now, but I think its been superseeded by a cheaper item. No details here.
