ParticipantChanged the brushes then tried to reset the machine as:-
Turn the appliance knob to the off or reset position, 12 o’clock.
Turn the knob to the 6 o’clock position.
Press and hold the spin button.
Whilst holding it, turn the knob to the 7 o’clock position.
Continue holding the spin button for about 5 seconds.
Release the button.
Turn the knob to off.I Trust this is correct for this model?
I tried it many times as it would not clear.
Do I assume that the board has gone as well if so would you know part number ?
As on Connection’s they do not list the WAE28363GB/06 only /05 or /07 and the part for that is 668826 and does it come programmed?
Very many thanks in advance

As I have not had any replies I assume that this is not a common problem.
I was also wondering if the motor could be the problem and not the board.

I take it the carbon brushes had worn out? Have you checked motor TOC is not o/c?

😕 I know this is not a solution.
I had one of these and gave up after several attempts to reset. I assumed that a board would be required.
Subsequently A “Bosch Engineer” was called and in a few minutes had the machine working. No parts were fitted and the customer says he just turned the knob a bit (not sure exactly how) and hey presto the machine worked fine. This has been several months ago and the machine is still going fine. From this I take it that no other faults were present.
I wonder is there another procedure for resetting these machines!

Turn the knob to off.i thought it was lightly touch spin button, turn knob from 12oclock to 6oclock, release, then turn to 7oclock, im prolly wrong, as its late, but if i am, then, is it not possible you were pushing too hard, i know the bosch touch sensitive board doestn respond well to heavy hands.
PS BERNIE, have you used bsh own spares site. http://shop.bshappliancecare.com/
type in the er no and away you go. also worth pricing up between qualtex and connect for bosch special order parts. also remember bosch give 10{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} discount to phone orders to a trade address 🙂

I did not get chance to check motor as the son who let me in wanted to go out (he was catching the bus, house is in a village) so yes motor TOC might be o/c.
You are correct gandh1, it is a lightly touch spin button, I don’t think I was pushing too hard although my hands were black from changing the carbons maybe that’s why it did not rest.
The customer has got a new LG machine now.
Thanks to:- Geoffmackay, Tom, Pinky & Gandh1 and all of you that took the time to look.

hope you got paid and/or have the old machine to play with 🙂
customers are far too willing to replace if it cant be fixed in what we deem to be unfeasibly short times. still waiting for a 14 y/o miele start switch to come in, cust couldnt wait estimated 1-2wks for part to arrive so bought an lg too, but at least they want to keep the meile and complete the repair, as they will continue to use it for the rugby kit… :rolls:

Have not been back as it’s in the country and don’t get out that way often.
He say’s he will put cheque in post!
I remember going to a Zanussi FL828 when the split cab first came out had to order new clutch motor took about 3 to 4 weeks by that time they had got a new machine had not told me until I phoned to book the call, never got paid.
Still got the motor if anybody needs one as they are now obsolete according to Connections.
